I came to Dundee in October 2021, I visited the GP on early November so I can continue my medication for psoriasis. The GP refer my case to Ninewells, and I had to wait six months to be seen by a consultant. During that time my psoriasis got worse and topical medication couldn’t stop the spread. In addition, the weekly medication prescription is another agony. Several times I had to go back and forth between the pharmacy and the GP for proscription. On May 2022, I finally got to see the consultant who asked for blood test and chest-xray to be done as soon as possible so I can start the therapy. However, I did the blood test and waited for week to be contacted for x-ray. I contacted the radiology department, and they said that I’m on waiting list and I have to wait weeks unless your doctor contacted us. I phoned the dermatology department and they informed me that the doctor is on leave and I have to wait for them to make the decision of bringing my chest x-ray appointment forward. I’m very disappointed with the system. I’m frustrated because psoriasis has affected my clothes choices, I have to change bedding regularly because of the bleeding. I lost my confidence. I’m a student I already have education related headache. I’m tired from going back an forth between services and departments. I still have to go few more weeks without medication because no one seems to be bothered.
