"Cancerous part of ear removed and a skin graft"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

I attended Glasgow Royal Infirmary yesterday to have the above mentioned operation.  The surgeon Mr Thomson and his theatre staff Nicola, Solena and Courtney could not have been more professional.  I felt completely at home and Mr Thomson attention to detail was extremely impressive, throughout the operation I felt so relaxed as if I was among friends, no pain, no stress.  My sincere gratitude goes to all involved.

Dear Duffy higgins

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to have a cancerous part of your ear removed and a skin graft.

I was great to hear how the surgeon Mr Thomson and his theatre staff Nicola, Solena and Courtney took good care of you showing a professional and caring attitude throughout your journey.

I can only begin to imagine how worried you must have been prior to your surgery so to hear the staff treated you with such care and dignity was heart warming.

I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to the staff involved who I'm sure will be as humbled as I was to read your comments.

Please take care and thanks again this means a lot to the staff in these difficult times.

Kind regards

Kevin
