"Best practice at its best"

My whole experience of dealing with and being treated by the cardiology department has been 100% positive. From arriving for a pre-assesment to being escorted out of the building following my procedure, the attention to detail and personal touches have honestly left me in awe of everybody connected with your department.

Every step was explained, every care taken to make sure I was comfortable - even as far as being asked for my choice of music to be played whilst the procedure was taking place, sorry for my choice !

To me, the Consultant who operated on me, AR, is a miracle worker. Even though I didn't realise that I had a problem, I obviously did and thanks to his skills I feel immeasurably in better health

The 'recovery' room staff were marvellous in everything they did. I know you don't encourage naming names here, but male nurse L was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and if he said that he'd 'have a look at that in a few minutes', he did.

The aftercare phone calls are made when they said would be. I felt that I needed something checked out; 'can you come in today and you can see a Registrar'. Much to my surprise I saw the Consultant who arranged for more follow-up tests
