Initially surgery for prolapse at gynaecology dept QEH, then continued to Stobhill. Prolapse returned after nearly 6 years. Referred back to pessary clinic QEH.
Pessary fitted, but next one very uncomfortable and removed, then after 2 years of blood-stained discharge being attributed to prolapse, and more blood staining at 74, I felt this not right. I was referred to 1 stop clinic f at Stobhill. I did receive info leaflets explaining tests to be prepared might happen.
From the minute I attended, Dr Varda was so professional, went over my history, explained procedure with camera then biopsy. She also asked my permission for student doctor to be present, and I was happy to agree.
Then nurse Karen prepared me. So calm and again reassuring and knew her job so well. She explained as each part of the test went along, as did the very caring Dr Varda. Just the right amount of info from a wonderful team which made everything easier.
I would have no fear attending this well run clinic again. Even Margaret who brought a cup of tea afterwards was so kind. Please pass my thanks to them.
