"Lack of care and kindness"

My husband, has been a patient at this surgery for over 50 years and we have since moved out of the catchment area. We have lived at this new address for over 5 years without issues.

He has long term mental health/mobility issues and when he found out he would have to move to another practice he was devastated.

I contacted the practice twice to speak to the practice manager or her deputy to see if they would reconsider but to no avail

(they said they weren’t available). I also sent them a letter of complaint to which I’m still waiting for a response.

I ordered my husband enough medication to last him until the new surgery got the relevant paperwork to prescribe him further meds.

The surgery cancelled the prescription order and they told me that as we had changed surgery we need to contact them.

To be fair to the new surgery we hadn’t given them enough time to be able to get the much needed meds.

We were given 30 days notice to find a new practice but unfortunately as I was waiting for a response to the complaint and we hadn’t reached the 30 day mark I ordered the meds from Garland House to make sure we had enough to last us.

We are now left in limbo and having to ask the new practice to push us to the front of the waiting list to let the doctor/pharmacist review his med list.

Garland HouseSurgery are a disgrace they haven’t show any kindness or care to him even though I’ve impressed upon them his severe mental heath issues.

I want to highlight these issues and complaint against this practice.
