"I enjoy having a room to myself"

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was advised to come over to Craigavon hospital by my doctor a few days ago as I was experiencing extreme abdominal pain. I didn’t wait that long to be seen by a member of staff, which was good. Once given some medication and a comfortable bed I was able to relax. The beds on the ward are very comfortable which surprised me as I never imagined them to be like this. I’ve enjoyed having a room to myself as it can get quiet noisy on the ward sometimes, and it can be annoying. The food has been awful, my mum has been bringing stuff in for me as I just don’t like to food at all. One day I tried the soup and it wasn’t very nice, there was barley any taste off it. I think the ward is cleaned well and my room is cleaned throughout the day by the cleaners which is great.

Thanks for your review. I'm delighted you find the ward clean and your bed space comfortable. I apologise about the ward being noisy, unfortunately we can sometimes have confused sick patients so this can't always be helped. I wish you a speedy recovery.
