I've found 95% of the CBT on offer to be useless.  That's based on seeing several different people. I've spoken to others who have said the same, not just HIV patients, but other people too. It seems no one monitors the work - at one of mine the session was spent talking about world politics & the staff member's personal hobbies.

I'm very grateful I have now found one who was brilliant - I now describe my life as pre- & post- this therapist. Found them myself through another service. All others I've encountered have been useless to me, with one in particular having no understanding whatsoever.
