"Total satisfaction from a brilliant team "

Referred to CGH for prostrate cancer and removal by Robot Assisted surgery of the prostrate. Consultants in Hereford identified problem and sources of action.

Pre Op assessment carried out by very friendly and helpful staff who explained everything in great detail giving me confidence in what the future held.

Return a week before Op for blood test - once again great staff and service was in and out in 15 minutes.

OP carried out 13/5/2022 ( Friday 13th but luckily for me being cared for by a great team) - Admitted to the Kemerton Suite at 0730 - checked over and paper work discussed with a very nice chap - spoken to by the registrar and the consultant - made to feel safe secure and personally for me I knew I was dealing with people who not only knew their jobs but cared about me .

Next it was into the Anaesthetic Room ,and what a great bunch of people once again everything explained and this only helped to reinforce my confidence all would go well (unfortunately because of being under General Anaesthetic,I can only thank the operating personnel ,they did a cracking job and my recovery is going well) -

Woke up in Snowshill Ward and that was an uplifting time,every single person I had contact with was caring ,happy and fully focused on their work,and rightly proud of the work they do - if the NHS needs to show it self at its best then this is the ward which should represent it. The ward itself is in need of a little TLC ,but the staff work round any issues - the food and catering services are excellent ( my only complaint is the Custurd Creams fail when dunked) - hopefully my treatment has been successful - if however I have to return to Hospital ,returning to CGH would be a pleasure, and I would be returning in the sure knowledge that a great team is there to provide a ,safe,,caring and professional service,delivered with a cheerful and Happy disposition. Thanks to all at CGH you are all a shining example of our great NHS.
