"My son’s journey through ED"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Orthopaedics (Ward 3C)

(as a parent/guardian),

My 15 year old was brought off his bike at speed this evening by a car. Along with being very bashed and bruised, he has also acquired a broken collar bone. From the front door triage to X-ray to ED assessment, and ortho input, the staff were all fantastic. Kind, informative, v respectful of him and his need to know as much as possible, gentle and thorough. Particular thanks to Robyn the CDF. Given how busy the department clearly was, you all did a fantastic job for my boy. Thank you.

Hi Mummybee,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience bringing your son to ED. I hope your son is feeling better following his accident.

I am so pleased to hear you felt our staff were fantastic and ensured that your son knew as much as possible. I hope this helped him during what would have been a very scary time for him.

I have shared your story with our ED medical and nursing teams and have thanked Robyn on your behalf. Our staff love hearing your feedback so thank you for taking the time to contact us and tell us your story.
