(as a service user),

I attended for my cervical screening after putting it off for months due to family history and previous tests being uncomfortable and results being abnormal.

The Practice Nurse instantly made me feel at ease. She explained everything fully and the test was over in under a minute without any pain.

Previously I have had issues with nurses finding my cervix who then have me moving , tilting pelvis etc. speculums are usually sore but I literally felt nothing this time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. Simply telling me she could visualise my cervix and it looked healthy was enough to calm my nerves.

A credit to the practice.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and provide feedback regarding the care you received at your GP practice. Cervical screening is such an important procedure and I'm sorry to hear that you had been putting it off for various reasons. I'm pleased to read however of the positive experience you had when you did attend your GP Practice and that the nurse made you feel comfortable and provided the reassurance you needed.

All staff and clinicians are extremely grateful to receive feedback from patients, especially when so positive.
