"Awful Receptionist"

About: Warrington Hospital

visited A&E after a call to 111 advised me to. The lady who was doing the booking in was awful! Literally screeching patients personal information back at them. I had to stop myself from asking her if she would like to come round and say it again to make sure everyone heard my name, DoB and where I lived. Then screaming "who's next" at the top of her lungs rach time she had booked someone in. What a god awful experience when youre feeling terrible in the 1st instance. None of us want to be there, especially on a Sunday, but this is your job and if you dont enjoy it, get another one. People like that should never be the 1st point of contact for sick people. I actually ended up leaving because I couldnt cope with the screeching and I managed to get an emergency appointment with a dentist instead. Just no need for it at all

Hello,

We are really sorry to read about your experience on visiting our A&E and would advise you email our patient advice and liaison service (PALS), with details of date/time so that we can look into this further for you. Your feedback will help us improve our service and training support for our staff.

We are pleased to note that you were able to access the right treatment for yourself and hope that you are feeling much better now.

Regards

The Communications Team
