Hi. I would like to thank all your staff for their help during my recent period of ill health.
In March I attended at my GP practice as I had been feeling unwell and was aware I had an unusual heart rate. After being examined a phone call was made and I was given a letter and told to attend your A and E dept.
On arrival I was seen quite quickly, diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and put in a room connected to a monitor. During this I was reassured by frequent visits from Doctors and Nurses who asked plenty of questions whilst tests were done.
I was then transferred to Ward 18 where I was seen by further Doctors and given various medication to control my heart rate. Over the next few days my breathing improved and I began to feel a lot better than before. I was discharged at the end of March and have now had local appointments to check my blood and medication.
During my stay in Monklands Hospital every member of staff that I came into contact with treated me with professionalism and respect. Ward 18 I quickly noticed was very busy however I was always spoken to politely and with good humour. This helped make my new situation more bearable and I thank them for that.
Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to all your staff.
