"We will never forget the way she made us feel"

In late August 2019, we were dealt with the devastating news that our baby’s heart had stopped beating at 41 weeks gestation. 

Midwife Cessa supported me in delivering my baby into this world. Still and silent, our baby was born one evening in early September. Midwife Cessa’s care and attentiveness to, not only me but, my entire family is something I will never forget. She somehow managed to make us feel safe, and that we were going to be ok. 

After our baby was born, Cessa carefully, and with so much love, helped us make memories to last for the rest of our lives. She changed our baby into a special outfit, worked with my husband to take prints of our baby's hands and feet, and shared in those precious moments. 

Cessa is never far from our thoughts, and whenever we share stories of our baby she is always mentioned. We will never forget the way she made us feel in those immediate, heartbreaking days and nights.
