"Patients, staff and visitors are so very lucky to have him"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Spiritual Care/Chaplaincy

(as a relative),

Chaplain Harry at University Hospital Wishaw has been a great support to my mum during her stay in hospital and beyond.

He has visited my mum who was very disturbed about being in a very unfamiliar environment and offered his physical presence  and spiritual support when mum badly needed it.

He has met family members and guided us through a very worrying time. Like most families, we are extremely worried about mum being unwell- mum is very important to us.

Harry recognised this and gave up his very valuable time to assist us. Wishaw patients, staff and visitors is so very lucky to have him.

Dear Rho,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It is lovely to hear that you thought the Spiritual Care provided from Harry was fantastic. The compassion and support you mentioned is the care we strive to deliver to every patient, every day and it is great to hear that we are getting it right!

I will share this post directly with Harry and the chaplaincy team. I'm sure Harry will be delighted, and I also know he will say he was "just doing his job!". Thank you for your encouragement and kind comments.

Wishing you and your family well.
