I am White British, 59 and overweight, I arrived by ambulance in Sept 21 for just over 2 weeks due to Covid
Because of the nature of the ICU, there is no business or industry that can come anywhere near it. In addition to this, the care was second to none, the staff came from a multitude of countries, were mostly able to speak “at least” 2 languages, had excellent communication with each other and genuinely treated me like a “best friend”, taking “excellent care” of me and liaising with the Dr’s.
These people are “genuinely exceptional”.
The staff were very professional and were working in these conditions as normal but with their added protection. Basically, when the NHS needed them the most, they did not let the country down. Sadly, a small percentage of NHS workers were lost to this virus.
I would like to say, “A BIG Thank You” to all the staff at Ealing Hospital & around the country that works in the wards.
"These people are “genuinely exceptional”. "
