My care so far has been very unenjoyable and there have been times I have hated it. The ward is incredibly understaffed which makes the wait for simple things such as a drink a terribly long wait. It is fine when waiting on things such as a drink but as I need assistance for the toilet there are times I have waited over half an hour for the toilet which can sometimes lead to some very close calls. The nurses are amazing but there is so little of them that their job is incredibly difficult as they have so many tasks and patients to look after at one time that they are lays working so hard. The doctors are okay and are easily understood. The food so far has been terrible and I rarely finish the food. This means that I have to substitute the meals with snacks which feels unhealthy as I am not used to. I just really do not enjoy the food we get. Everything is nice and clean which is good and I have no other issues apart from the waits for basic necessities such as the toilet or food

Thank you for taking the time to highlight your concerns, I am sorry that there were delays in your treatment and care and this will be highlighted to staff as this should always be our main priority even when short staffed, we hope that staffing levels will soon improve and in turn we will provide the high standards that we aim for. I am sorry that you have not enjoyed the food as the catering staff aim to provide a varied menu. It is reassuring that you have found the ward to be clean and tidy as all of the ward and domestic staff work hard to maintain the cleanliness.
