"The staff have been good to me"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Female Medical

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was taken in from Craigavon Area Hospital after I had a hip replacement I am here for recovery before going to a step down.

Female medical is very clean and tidy I never see dirt in here. I am receiving adequate care and everyone has to get on as we are all in such close quarters.

I cannot fault the staff on their care they are brilliant, they have been very very good to me.

Although the food in here is not appetising, and the toilets are definitely not suitable for someone who has had a hip replacement I sit down and cannot get back up. In addition, the no visitors or the booking system is very difficult to organise as all my children are working at different times, it leaves me feeling depressed as I have not seen them in 2 weeks.

Dear Shagq75 - thank you for telling us about your experience and I am so sorry for the delay in responding to you. I hope that you are recovering from your surgery and if you are still in the ward I would encourage you to speak with the staff so that they can arrange for your family to visit. I have shared your comments with the staff for their reflection and learning

With best wishes

Christine
