"Phone communication problems"

About: The Fryatt Hospital and Mayflower Medical Centre

Mum in Waveney Rehabilitation Ward

Been trying for 2 days to phone and speak as visiting prohibited

at present, Sunday 10th and Monday 11th April 2022.

Been phoning every 10 mins constantly today (Monday 11th April)

from 1pm to 7pm on patient contact number and ward number

phone constantly ringing no one answering.

Absolutely disgraceful and appalling what if this was a dire

emergency cannot even get though on main switchboard.

Staff shortages are not an excuse part of patient care is being able to communicate with family if visiting prohibited.

This hospital is not managed properly.

Thank you for letting us know about your issues getting in touch with your Mum. I have looked at the information on our website and the phone number for Waverley is not he same as the number I have tracked down. The number I have for the Waverley ward in Harwich is 01255 201560 and for Waveney ward at Ipswich is 01473 703058. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. I will request an update on our website to reflect the best number to call. If you are still having issues getting in contact with the ward please give me a call on 01473 702101. Many thanks Steve Bruce - Patient Experience Team
