My father came to the SAU ward for a simple procedure that turned into the end of his life. Whilst the staff never 'met' him fully conscious, they looked after him with respect and care as he died, continuing to moisturise his skin, cleaning his mouth, changing his gown etc with empathy. They looked after us too over the days and night we stayed with him giving us pillows, blankets and tea. Plus a really kind handwriten card when we all left! So very appreciated, thankyou you lovely people for making that hard time better.
