"My daughter’s recovery process has been going very well"

My daughter and I arrived here on Monday evening after a phone call to the out of hours. We went to the emergency department and were seen to within an hour, I felt this was a long wait considering my daughter had a burst appendix.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning my daughter had an appendectomy to remove her appendix. My daughter was due to go into surgery a couple of hours earlier but due to another emergency we were sent back to the ward.

The theatre staff and surgeons were very professional and the procedure was very thorough and professional also. My daughter’s recovery process has been going very well, with all thanks to the staff. The staff have all been lovely and are providing great information and are explaining things brilliantly.

The meals have been ok, but we have been offered some strange choices. For example my daughter is unable to eat meat but we have been offered a menu full of just meat.

All in all it has been a great stay so far and the recovery has been going excellent so far. I would add that I think my husband should be allowed in along with me but due to restrictions we can only see my daughter one at a time.
