Following on from my appointment at Belfast city hospital last week I was asked to attend the renal unit again the following day as they thought something was not right. And they were spot on .
At that clinic I took very ill and had to be admitted to hospital things were not going well. The renal unit took swift action and inside about 5 mins there were about 5 members of staff at my side. They worked very hard with me and i was admitted to ward 11 south then down to the high dependency unit.
Words cannot describe the care given to me from every department in the n.h.s. and to the people involved I will be forever grateful. Words like dedication, commitment, compassion, self sacrifice do not even come near the care I was given.
All I can say further is that I am so privileged to have been born in Northern Ireland. The doctors, nurses and every staff member of every other department stepped up to the plate for me. Thank you all for what you do.
"Follow up care"
