For the attention of the Palliative Care Team and staff of Ward 11 University Hospital of North Durham.

Please can you ensure that the teams involved receive notification of my thanks.

Thank you so much to all of the staff on ward 11 for being there with me and my dad for the final days of his life . I was made to feel so comfortable during such a difficult and sad time. My dad was allowed to pass away with dignity.The staff showed great care towards him to maintain this , throughout a very sad process . As well as being very supportive of us as a family and allowed us time to be alone with him but remained discreetly in the background.

I would also like to personally thank the palliative care nurse for their kindness when helping my dad through his final treatment and being so open and honest explaining everything in such an empathetic way. The service and support you offer is invaluable and the tenderness and comfort at the time of his passing I will always remember.
