"Was a great practice but not now"

About: Posterngate Surgery

I left an online apt request on Tuesday evening saying i was worried about a lump. My worry is supported by the fact i have previously had cancer and am on epo injections which increase the risk of tumours. On Thursday morning I got a message saying a physiotherapist would telephone on over a week later. How can they tell me over the phone if my lump is cancerous or not? I rang and spoke to reception and was told 12 days for a face to face drs appointment. I'm now going to have to ring back daily to see if anything sooner has been released. My mum had the same, waited in all day for a nurse to ring and no one rung. Eventually rang the next day to be told yes you do need to see a Dr. Another few days later and finally saw a Dr and was referred to york hospital. This used to be a fantastic surgery and I appreciate the pressure covid has caused but no wondered A&E are overwhelmed when no one can get a drs appointment. Other surgeries seem to have gone back to a pre covid appointments system but appears this one won't ever. A receptionists decides without looking at you're medical records whether you should be classed as urgent or not. Not the caring service it once was unfortunately. Might be time for a change after 47 years. 5 stars for repeat prescriptions though, that service has always been first class.
