Having had the good fortune of not being too ill throughout my life, a recent stay in hospital on Ward 40, 10th – 13th January 2022 for emergency surgery (perforated appendicitis), then other medical appointments, has hugely rekindled my praise for the NHS, sending it soaring; as did my autumn 1991 NGH Meningococcal Meningitis stay. After some issues re chronic illnesses, I am truly delighted to be able to say that, 95% in the main, my recent stay was beyond any anticipation.
Here, I would like to sincerely and humbly thank everyone within our NHS: all of those doctors, surgeons, nurses, administrators and all ancillary workers who make so much possible, under such financial strain, then having to deal with Covid on top of - whilst doing such good for so many - often at their most vulnerable and in need of such vital services. Thanking Each and Every One of you! x
