"Car parking shambles"

I recently visited my GP on 14/03/22 and duly paid my 50p to park upon leaving the car park. I have just arrived home to a parking fine from Parking Eye for non payment of parking charges. I have lodged an appeal immediately attaching a screen shot of the 50p leaving my bank from my online banking app and I now await the outcome of that appeal. I know my father is in a similar position having recently attended to see GP he paid his 50p in cash before leaving the car park. He has no receipt and obviously you no longer get a ticket to display. He appealed and was told as he had no proof the fine still stood. It is clear that the machine is faulty as I also paid but still got a fine issued by post. I only have proof as I paid by contactless. You need to get a grip of this company and their clearly faulty machine. My dad and I cannot be the only ones this has happened to recently. I don’t see why my dad should be penalised for this when he knows he paid. Surely if you’ve had other patients complaining of this similar issue recently you could provide some sort of written complaint to Parking Eye to assist my dad (and me if they don’t accept my screen shot as proof!) in this matter. The machine is clearly faulty.
