"I have to wait for a procedure which will delay my operation"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gastroenterology Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with gallstones after suffering with billiary colic episodes.

I was told I was added to the wait list for surgery to remove my gall bladder. Since December I have been having these episodes weekly. Vomiting cold chills fainting each episode takes up 2-3 days of my week.

After finally getting a date in mid April for my operation I was admitted to hospital toward the end of March. After an MRI I was told two of my stones are blocking my bile duct. I would need an ERCP.

Now .

No one can give me a date for the ERCP so now I have no idea how long I will be left in this constant pain which is so much worse than the billiary colic episodes.

I have young children and a university student I cannot live a normal life.
