"Not enough staff"

I visited last night with palpitations. I was triaged and asked to wait for my results. I was waiting 5 hours and had to leave as I had left my daughter with a neighbour. There were people who had been waiting for over 9 hours to be seen and also people with small children who were waiting hours. Not a good experience.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry that you experienced a long wait in the Emergency Department (ED) and that you observed other people having long waits. We do hope that you are now feeling better.
Unfortunately the ED at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is experiencing unprecedented levels of attendance at the moment, in line with other hospitals in the area and nationally, and our staff are working hard to try to reduce the length of time waiting.
