About: King George Hospital

I received a call in February saying I finally have my surgery on 15th march, they asked me when I had a seizure I told them just 2 weeks ago, they told me it’s fine, I asked them if I needed to get the booster jab, they said NO. 6 days before my surgery I get a call saying I need to get the booster before Friday or else my surgery would

Be cancelled (so basically threatened me) I got work to let me leave early so I can attend the walk in session for the jab at my gp, got the covid card. On the day of the surgery I got there a few minutes past 7, they got me to do the covid test which came back negative, and although my covid jabs are on the system, they ask for the covid pass(don’t have and wasn’t told about it)or the little covid card which I forgot so they told me the surgery would be cancelled unless I had them so I got my mum to come in with my passport (need it to get covid pass) I finally got let in at 11am. I had to wait until 1:30pm only to get told that because I had a seizure a month ago (they already knew) the surgery had to be cancelled because one of the staff was uncomfortable with giving me general anaesthetic so shortly after a seizure. So I spent 6 hours waiting for no reason and throughout that I felt like they just wanted to cancel my surgery from the moment I walked in because the excuse changed from covid pass to seizures before I left I got two staff members to confirm the next date for my supposed surgery and a letter I can give to work explaining that the surgery was cancelled on the 15th. I’ve been waiting for surgery since 2018, it’s been 4 years since I first got a referral for surgery and I can’t move my arms properly to the point where I can’t sleep properly, can’t exercise using weights and have to be careful when I’m standing in the bus and train, can’t hi5. It’s clear to me that I’m either gonna live the rest of my life with these messed up shoulders or get lucky become a millionaire and pay for private surgery. Since my first seizures in 2017 I noticed that when I talk to a doctor, they don’t really take what I say seriously or just don’t care and I’m honestly just tired of this. Worst experience of my life so far. The nurses were nice and I felt a bit bad for being rude to them but I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. I really though I was going to get my surgery done today after waiting so long…just waiting on the next excuse :/
