"Care has been 100 percent"

About: South Tyrone Hospital / Ward 2

My care has been 100 percent with a lot of that quality care coming down to our exceptional nurses. They are always so lovely and put a smile on my face every time I speak to them as they are so understandable and make the whole process of being in hospital that much easier. The food is not amazing however it is edible and I have tasted worse in a hospital before. The place is always clean which has made it a lot easier especially with covid as rampant as it has been over the past few years. I am grateful for all the staff who have made my admission into hospital so much easier.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to respond.

We always welcome feedback, this help make changes if needed and to feedback positive and negative aspects to our teams.

It is heartwarming to hear that your care was been 100 percent.

The team in ward 2 work very hard to ensure that they provide you with a high quality of care, and I would totally agree with you we are very lucky to have exceptional nurses.

It is lovely to hear that they put a smile on your face every time you spoke with them and that they were very understanding.

Being a patient in hospital in the current circumstances may not always a pleasant experience, especially being away from your family.

I am sorry to hear that the food wasn't amazing, we are very aware of the importance of having a good balanced diet and how closely it is linked to your healing, well being and your rehabilitation. If you would like to ring me to give me issues and share your ideas I would love to hear them.

I will also discuss your concerns with our domestic services and ask the ward sisters to continue to get feedback from patients around meal choices.

I will also pass on your comments to our domestic team they work very hard to keep the ward clean to prevent any outbreak of infections.

I will be delighted to pass on that you are grateful for all the staff who helped make your admission into hospital so much easier.
