I had to have a procedure to remove some abnormal cells found during biopsies at a colposcopy. These appointments are very quick, I was in and out swiftly but the care I received was lovely. The nurse and doctor chatted away making sure I was comfortable, everything was explained as it happened.
I was incredibly relaxed which definitely helped the procedure be less uncomfortable (I had no discomfort whatsoever thanks to local anaesthetic!)
Everything was as great as it could have been, that was two weeks ago and now I’ve got quite a bad infection from it which has definitely but a bit of a dampener on my experience but I don’t think that could have been helped. I was given great advice, one of which was avoid public bathing but I could get a bath myself which I did that night and I’m wondering if maybe that has influenced me getting this infection?
Maybe submerging in water should be avoided for a while after I don’t know, but I wouldn’t want getting an infection to ruin what was really a great care experience
"Great experience but.."
