"I have a new lease of life"

I just wanted to say I am forever Thankful to Ellen and her team at Lincoln County hospital Gynaecology Department. I received an abnormal Smear result back in January and was extremely anxious as a result. 

I was thinking the worst case scenario and it was very difficult to stay positive. I was sent for a Colposcopy. At the appointment Ellen and the two other staff members were so lovely; they were conversational and upbeat and really, really put me at ease. They explained the procedure beforehand and throughout and provided great aftercare information (both written and verbal).

It turned out I had some pre cancerous cells in my Cervix and they carried out a 'Loop Excision Biopsy' to remove the cells and send off for a biopsy. Lots of hand squeezing was had during the procedure! 

I will forever be so so grateful to Ellen and her team, for routine Smear tests and the NHS we are so blessed with in this country. I now feel I have a new lease of life and can live without fear. :-) :-)
