I visited the department on 2/3/22

I can only describe myself as completely terrified as I had experienced trauma in the past. I contacted the department prior to my appointment and explained my difficulty. On the day I was greeted by a wonderful nurse who told me she was going to look after me. I felt better already. The consultant took time to ask about my problem and my fear. There was no rush, we took it a step at a time. The consultant asked if I was ok to proceed with each step. I felt understood and supported the whole time and got through what felt like an impossible thing.

I can't thank them enough for what they did for me.
