I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff that looked after me recently. I was induced on a Sunday morning in Feb but my baby decided it was not ready to make an appearance. After breaking my waters and a day in labour, I was scheduled for an emergency c-section. 

Considering the team appeared understaffed, everyone we met was fantastic, ensuring I was kept comfortable at all times. 

Mary (the midwife usually based in Coleraine) was unbelievable and made me feel so at ease. My husband and I were able to put our full trust in her and I was so upset she never got to meet my son after all her hard work. 

A huge thank you also to Renata, the anesthetist who just has a way about her. And of course to Louise the surgeon who did a great job and stitched me back up perfectly. The scar is barely visible!

The aftercare on the ward was also brilliant and all the midwives were fantastic, going the extra mile to rock my son to sleep when I was exhausted! 

I was in hospital for 5 full days and want to extend my thanks to every single person who was involved in my care. I will be forever grateful and cannot thank each person enough.

My name is Helen Weir and I am the Interim Head of Service for Maternity and Gynae/Deputy Head of Midwifery. Congratulations on the arrival of your Baby Boy and I am so glad that you had a such a lovely experience in these challenging times.

I will share your thanks with all the staff referenced above and especially with Mary, Mary is a fantastic midwife who always puts the needs of her woman and their partners first. I know all the staff will be so delighted to read your fantastic feedback as it really means a lot to receive it.

I hope you, your husband and baby boy are doing well and once again I thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback
