I had an appointment this morning. I wish to raise two issues.
I was disappointed with the tone of the consultation in that it felt to me that I was receiving a mini-lecture (some of which contradicted medical advice given to me previously during a phone appointment by a different GP at Fell Tower and also by someone from TIMS on the phone and in a leaflet).
My more important second issue is that the doctor did not mention the fact that my husband, of almost 50 years, died six and a half days ago. Considering that our surname is fairly rare, I thought that the doctor might have known about his death. I had informed the practice, as had the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, St. Bede's Unit (Hospice).
