"inadequate service verging on dangerous "

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

On specialists advice presented at A&E late afternoon with serious infection from an ongoing illness. Triaged and bloods taken fairly promptly but 2 hours before seen by a doctor. Told likely to be admitted would be about 30 min to an hour. 2 hours later saw doctor again yes did apologise for delay arranged medication for temperature. Spent the next 6 hours sat on an uncomfortable chair with just a bottle of water no checks or obs taken. Finally admitted in early hours of morning and spent next 24 hour fighting a serious infection. Total madness.

appreciate was not the only patient, there were a number of others with same experience. The staff were no doubt trying there best in difficult circumstances posting this because the system needs revising and changing because it is currently inadequate and verging on dangerous.
