"Realy bad nose bleed"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ear, Nose and Throat South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

After two separate nosebleeds in the previous week, which I was able to stem after pinching my nose for some hours, I woke at four o'clock in the morning with blood pouring from both nostrils and running down the back of my throat.

I managed to get an ambulance, by dialling 999, and was taken by a very caring crew to Barnstable A and E, where I was promptly seen and initially treated.

It was decided that I needed further treatment at Exeter ENT unit and I was promptly transferred to this hospital by ambulance.

The treatment I received was first class throughout, and I was discharged on Saturday morning with a well packed nose, and a lot of pride in our nations health service.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
