"Not please with the service "

About: Chapel Medical Centre

We end up going to Walk in Centre to treat my son's cut on his forehead and got an antibiotic prescription form there.

Called the Medical Centre to ask them to replace my son's prescription as he is allergic to penicillin and to my surprise the answer I got is that it will take up to 48h to do it.

48h to replace a prescription that has been issued and deemed necessary by other professional !!

How in a normal world one can call this is doctor care patient ?

Dear Vasio

I am sorry that you are not pleased with the service at the practice. I can see that you have posted two negative consecutive reviews about the practice and this does concern me.

In regards to this review. The staff member was correct to direct you to the Urgent Care Centre as we do not deal with minor injuries. In regards to the antibiotics, I have looked into this further and cannot see any prescription being issued from the Urgent Care Centre as it states that you walked out before treatment was given. However, I can confirm that we do have a 48hr policy for repeat prescribing, but when a prescription needs altering then this is usually actioned the same day. This procedure has been reiterated to the reception staff.

If you like to speak to me in more detail then I am more then happy to do so. Please feel free to telephone Clare Richardson on 0161 775 7373.

Kind regards

Clare Richardson

Practice Manager
