"Premises"

Yesterday, having visited the Leg Ulcer clinic for treatment, I tried to leave the premises. The automated door does not work as it should, as has been the case for all the time I have been using it(3 months}. I therefore had to pull it open manually, and as I am not very strong this took several attempts before it opened,at which I fell backwards onto the floor. I was unable to get up until one member of staff heard me and arrived in the unmanned area. Although I did not sustain any permanent injury, as I had fallen onto my head which had a lump and bruising, an ambulance was called. To my relief I did not need any further attention. However I have been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis, and my spine is weak, I was in considerable pain and next morning could barely move.

I feel that there is some absence of the duty of care at the clinic due to the failure of anyone to repair the door.It is not fit for purpose, especially as many visitors are elderly or inform or both.
