"Bad Planning "

About: Manor Hospital

In November 2020 I had a telephone appointment with my consultant who arranged for some tests to be carried out. The first test was done fairly quickly, the second took longer as it needed to be done at a different hospital as for whatever reason the Manor Hospital couldn’t do this particular x-ray. It has taken 9 months since that second test for me to get an appointment with my consultant to discuss the results and the treatment required.

I turned up to my appointment on 05/01/2022 as arranged and didn’t wait long to get called through to see the consultant. Great so far, only it wasn’t my consultant. I was seen by another Dr, who was a lovely man but knew nothing of my medical condition so couldn’t help me. I also found out that my original consultant has now gone on to refer me to another Dr to take over my care without even letting me know or what even the plan is. The new consultant is currently absent from work so who knows when I will be seen.

So many bad experiences over the last 5 years with the Manor hospital has now left me feeling that a referral elsewhere might be a better option for me. I cannot be disappointed and let down anymore as my health has become so compromised.

This is another attempt to post this review as you have claimed that it contains a serious complaint but it’s just highlighting poor communication between consultants and patients.
