"Poor Patient Service"

About: King Street Surgery

The lady who took my call was extremely short right from the beginning, she seemed in a bad mood and there was no common courtesy at all. For example I asked if I could make an apt to see the dr, she relied “no, I will book you a phone apt”. I accept that the GP’s are all maxed out and pushed really hard during the last two years, but if you have a policy of common courtesy that you expect from the public, you should show that and champion it yourselves to your patients.

Maybe she was having a bad day, but I guarantee most of the people calling are also having a bad day. I work in a hospital, I know that whatever I am feeling should be put aside for the benefit of patients and other staff. There was nothing at all to suggest she was caring, and the manner of her tone was really awful.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your feedback, my name is Mrs Ryder and I am the Operational Development Manager for King Street Surgery. We are sorry for your recent experience whereby you felt that the telephone operator was abrupt and you felt they lacked common courtesy.

We take all the reviews seriously and will focus on customer service skills with all our team
