"Ridiculous Wait Times "

About: Wolverhampton Road Surgery

I write this review having waited 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time - still having not been spoken to. I have contacted the receptionist twice who was incredibly unhelpful and seemed keen to just get me off the phone.

This is not the first time it has happened. When attending an in person appointment last October, I waited for 90 minutes past my appointment time before being seen - once again the receptionist sat the other side of the desk would barely lift her eyes up from the computer when telling me that I could either continue to wait or cancel my appointment. There was a gentleman sat next to me who had a blood test booked for the same time and he too had waited as long as myself. There was also another patient who had also been waiting well over an hour with us - all of us going to see different practitioners too.

On both occasions, I was not even offered an apology.

I appreciate that the practice has had to adapt its working habits because of the pandemic however basic manners to inform patients that they are running late and the offer of the chance to rebook should be happening. There seems to be a lack of appreciation that patients have to take time out of work to attend these appointments - costing us all money out of our wages.
