"Impossible to speak on the phone with my GP"

Today I phoned at 11am to the surgery to get some advise about a problem on my knee, the gentleman who picked up the phone very politely told me that my GP would call me back in 4 hours. Well, after 5 hours, I phoned back, and a lady tells me that it is not 4 hours as previously advised, she says it is until 6.30pm. At 6pm I called again as I did not receive any call since the morning, concerned that the surgery would close and no one came back to me. At 6.30pm I phoned again and just the answering machine saying the centre was closed, Unexpectedly I received a phone call at 6.45h exactly in the same moment when I was on the phone with 111 to get the help I couldn't get from my surgery in all day, so I missed the call.

It is very sad in the way this surgery deal with their patients; It is like our time as patients it is nothing, basically I waste a lot of time calling to the surgery today, waiting for ages on the phone just for nothing.

I do not recommend this surgery at all. Very unprofessional service

I am sorry about your experience on the 20th Dec. We do have a system call E-Consult via our website where you can submit a medical problem. Although we have lots of patients to call back everyday and our lines close for inbound calls at 18.30 the clinical team continue to work until they have finished there list often past 19.00. They must contact the medically urgent patients first which can mean a long wait for other patients. Our workload has increase by around 20% however we don't have an increase in GPs & nurses or our health navigators. I hope your issue was sorted however please feel free to ring the surgery again and ask to speak to me the practice manager so I can review your case fully.
