"Expertise and kindness at Northwick Park Hospital"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a service user),

I had a partially collapsed lung after getting some food into my airway. I was cared for with outstanding expertise and kindness in A and E, and on Crick Ward.

My breathlessness was nowhere near as serious or scary as many others have had to endure, but all staff listened and supported nevertheless. I was particularly impressed by the kind reassurance of Uma on Crick Ward: a health care assistant who represents the very very best of the NHS.

I was lucky enough to have a long career in hospital work, and will now, having seen how NPH manages such a good service on absolute COVID and government-devastated staffing levels, seek even more ways to keep it in the right hands.

Thanks.
