Had cause to attend A&E this morning in some considerable discomfort and dreading the anticipated wait on a bank holiday with GP practices closed. The wait time cited on arrival was indeed 5 hours. However, having checked in, I was called after about 20 minutes for some tests which were carried out quickly and professionally, returned to the waiting room and, to my astonishment, was called after about another 20 minutes for the results, diagnosis and prescription, not to mention reassurance. I was home again within the hour. Can't thank staff enough.
