"Hospice staff made my dad feel at home"

About: Kilbryde Hospice / Inpatient Care

(as a relative),

My Dad unfortunately died in Kilbryde last November after a short stay. He was admitted the Wednesday but sadly passed the Sunday.

The staff are real life walking angels, from the reception to the nurse to the fabulous doctors. We couldn’t thank them enough as a family.

Liz Anne was especially great upon arrival and reduced me to tears with her kindness and empathy. I really didn’t think it was possible for people to be so kind in life and will forever be grateful at their words, behaviour and treatment of us and our Dad.

They had a laugh and a joke with him, picking up on his light hearted nature from the start and really made him feel at home which was exactly what he needed after a stressful time in hospital. We will always be grateful and can’t express our thanks enough.

Dear Janeyf1003,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive Care Opinion post about the care Kilbryde Hospice gave your Dad. Although your Dad was only with us for a few days we enjoyed getting to know him and make him feel at home. Your Dad had a great sense of humour and it was lovely to have a laugh and a joke with him.

You mention many of our departments and it was our privilege to be able to provide you all with the kindness and empathy you deserved. Lizanne will be touched with your kind words.

Please know that we are here for you and your family if you need any further support.

Take care of yourselves.

Many thanks

Donna
