"Amazing Care and Staff"

About: Northern General Hospital / Cardiology Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to the Northern General Hospital in early January 2022 with a blocked artery and heart attack. Within 3 hours from phoning the ambulance to having his procedure he was back on the ward recovering at Sheffield Northern General Hospital.

We can’t thank the 2 paramedics, the doctors and nurses of the coronary ward and Firth 7 enough. With Covid we are unable to visit but the nurses always take the phone to dad and we can speak to him, and in his words “they are all absolute angels".  We can’t thank you enough for all the care you give not only to my wonderful dad but to everyone. You are all truly amazing and we are blessed to have a fantastic NHS. Dad continues to get stronger and we can’t wait to have him home. Thank you all so much you are very much appreciated!!! xx

Thank you for posting your story on the Care Opinion website. It is a pleasure to hear your positive comments about the 999 service delivered by Yorkshire Ambulance Service. I do hope your dad continues to make a good recovery and is back home very soon. We would like to identify the crew who attended to your dad in order to pass on your comments to them personally. We would therefore appreciate it if you could contact us on yas.patientrelations@nhs.net or 0333 1300549 with further details to enable us to do this.

Thank you once again and best wishes,

Jacqueline Taylor
