"Not fit for purpose "

About: Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

Not listened to by healthcare professionals. Exceedingly long process to even get regular support. Inadequate support, and then, when the support wasn't helpful, was informed that I would be discharged. Not everyone will be able to fit neatly into one designated treatment plan. No care for those who don't. Diagnoses just appear on letters, with no explanation, and when looking up the diagnosis and the treatment associated with the diagnosis, it becomes apparent that the effective treatment is denied.

Left for long periods with no support. Duty team ignore requests for help and ignore crisis team reports. Formal complaint dragged out gir months and months, little effort to resolve anything, and several areas of complaint not dealt with. There should be an alternative mental health team for people to go to, as this one seem to have no interest in helping patients, or resolving issues.

Whole experience of seeking help for mental health issues has been distressing, and has worsened problems, not made them better. It seems to he a numbers in a system operation, no thought given to the fact that they are dealing with people who have thoughts and feelings.

Inadequate, unprofessional, and uncaring service
