When I have arrived at the NUH A&E for mental health issue, the A&E department was aware of my Profoundly Deafness and I require a form of communication either a BSL interpreter or Mask Removal for Lipreading but they have refused to offer me both. As I do require one of them communication methods, they have contacted the Mental health team within the hospital and they have informed A&E that I could have the masks removed so I can lipread but they refused and kept me in the department till very late morning without having any support or treatment which has affected my mental health even more because I felt even more isolated and punished by the nurses and doctors. Even tho, when I was waiting for the Mental health team, the A&E nurses have refused them to see me because I don't have the correct method of communication as they was willing for me to see them with lipreading but NUH has refused it and told me to leave.
"No assistance with communication"
