"Excellent care from the other side"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I'm a staff nurse in the NHS and attended A&E at the GRI this morning. I was seen quickly, treated well and can't thank the staff enough. To be clear, I was not seen quickly because I work in the NHS.
The nurses, junior doctor and urology registrar were brilliant. They communicated well, checked in with me and chased the assessments I needed. I was discharged with a clear plan and very reassured about my presenting problem. I hope the staff appreciate how valuable and appreciated they are and I give my thanks to the ward management for their execellent team.

Dear staffpatient22

Thank you for taking the time to offer your kind words around the experience you had in our emergency department.

I am pleased you felt your care was quick and comprehensive and that you were given reassurance which I trust helped reduce any anxiety you may have had.

I will ensure your kind words are shared with the team.

Best wishes

John Carson

Chief Nurse North Sector
