"My midwives were amazing"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as a service user),

After dreading giving birth in Aberdeen due to living nearly 2 hours away, I have to say my labour experience was brilliant. Despite an unexpected delay in progress my midwives Orla and Kay were amazing and were both supportive and reassuring throughout. This being my 3rd baby, despite the long labour, it was my best labour experience. The whole team in labour and Ashgrove ward were great and although working under enormous pressure all staff were friendly and attentive.

Hi Dal27

Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your baby and thank you for taking time to provide such lovely feedback.

It is really reassuring to hear that you had a brilliant experience in Aberdeen and felt well cared for by Orla and Kay during your 3rd labour, I will make sure that your feedback is passed on to them and I know that they will be delighted with this.

Thanks again and may I wish you and your family all the best for the future.
